I interviewed at TD in San Diego about a year ago and it was the most chaotic, unprofessional event I've experienced in the last decade. I was to meet with 4 separate hiring managers. The first guy didn't understand why he had to be dragged into the interview process because his department wasn't hiring; he decided not to participate.
Unfortunately, he didn't share this with anyone. When I arrived at the security desk, I waited for this guy for nearly 20 minutes because he didn't return the call and nobody knew where he was, so we moved on to interview #2.
This manager came down to meet me in the lobby and he was all pissed off because he thought I was just arriving to the interview 20 minutes late; the spineless security guy didn't explain to him that ACTUALLY I'd been there for half an hour. Needless to say that interview went horribly. Interview #3 kept me waiting in a conference room for 20 minutes then dashed in with a clutch of papers and began asking interview-related questions from them.
Not one of them had anything to do with the role I applied for and were stupid and irrelevant; he obviously was late because he just finished Googling, "Top 20 Job Interview Questions" or before the interview. He hadn't even read my resume. The #4th interview was OK but by then I was so disgusted with TD I cut it short. All this is to say if they are going out of business, I can TOTALLY see why.
