Intel came back with an offer I could not resist. coming from start up world, working at Intel will be a breeze and I figure I will stick around for a couple of years until I don't have to pay back the sign on bonus which is significant.
My only question if there are or were any of you at Intel who had the same background and what was the experience like there?

Well if you're convinced that you'll put in for only two years, break as many paradigms that you can. Intel needs people to shake things up, not people who just look at it as a "job". So shake things up for a couple of years so you don't have to be an Intel wh0re.

Just take the paycheck for a few years and invest your money wisely. Don't make long term career plans, unless you fall in a good group. Intel is a very old environment full of insecure backstabbers who have more power than you. At Intel there is no together, there is either you or me.
Most likely you'll be run out of Intel for all of the reasons that you were successful in the outside world.
Start-up's are all about wearing a lot of hats and getting stuff done with velocity. Intel is about internal politics and who gets credit. Don't run with good ideas (unless you can convince your boss that it was his idea and that his boss will support it).
Intel is full of losers who couldn't cut it elsewhere. You've hit bottom pal.
I'm on my way out and very happy about it. That said, I'm grateful for the time I had at Intel. If it's a good opportunity relative to whatever else is out there it's a no brainer brother. Take it... just keep your head and don't fall in love.
