if so, this is tangible proof there is still a need for unions

@tlw. We're not union. We wore what we wanted within reason. We don't have to be told what to wear. I guess you all need Garanimals like when you were kids so you can just find the matching animals and it goes together. Idiots.
"3 garages in Suffolk NY ,1108"
And two more in NYC. Only difference is that these folks refused to go back in. Went home without pay.
company shills are so shmucky...90% of ewa's wore no collars...explain that
“if so, this is tangible proof there is still a need for unions”
We need unions, so people can wear union shirts?
I have an idea… burn the shirts, then the people who wanna wear them.
They should have wore there verizon collared shirts at picket duty
I had not problem wearing my "Unions Suck" shirt for the first half of the day, then I voluntary changed into my red collar one.
If the company was so concerned about the attire then the scabs and EWAs would have been wearing them AND there would be a stockpile of them at each garage. Instead it was nothing more than a power play by management to show who's in charge after our huge victory. Don't try to pretend the union overreacted to the very harassment that has been inherent the past 6 years.
why not wear the union shirt over the vz collered shirt?....same effect but i guess the HS graduate union executives were to busy taking selfies to think that one out?
shut up and eat your $h!t sandwich
“Others protested because NO ONE wore VZ shirts during the strike. Not just SCABS , but VZ EWAs also.”
You realize, that if you guys could be trusted to act like civilized humans, they’d have been wearing Verizon branded clothes. You guys are the reason they were wearing unbranded clothes.
See, you can trust management to not yell, spit, and generally harass you guys as you do your jobs. That, coupled with a dress code, means you need to wear Verizon branded clothes.
So…. Follow the dress code, shut up, and get to work.
Yes they were sent home, why not?
Yes it did happen. 3 garages in Suffolk NY ,1108. A few guys just had union shirts on in one location. Management sent them home. Others protested because NO ONE wore VZ shirts during the strike. Not just SCABS , but VZ EWAs also. So word spread quick and all 3 locations walked out. Then Gendron got up off his knees and told everyone to go back to work at 11am.
This wasn't so much about wearing the crappy shirts , but calling out VZ on their attire policy.
Minor issue you cry babies. Get a life. There are much more important life issues in your lives then what a person wears. Your talking like second graders.
Tangible proof you need a union?? For what? To teach you how to dress for work? Those idiots knew what the dress code was, so not sure why they felt they were above the rules? Proves the ignorance and arrogance of union members.
You don't get to determine your work attire. That's done by those who sign your paycheck.
they know everything about where to hide from the manager, FMLA and disability, but they are challenged when it comes to the dress code? I guess I shouldn't expect better.
hey... they're union members... you even gotta tell them how to dress.
I'm sure there's at least one moron who did it.
Yes if you dont have your verizon collared shirt on at 7am, you can be sent home
You are not allowed to put the collared shirt on at 705am
