Thread regarding Sears layoffs

I thought it would hurt so much to quit caring, to let it go...

but now it is natural to say 'that is not my department' and to say 'I can only do what I can do' Damn eddie lambert for taking our jobs away from us. damn him! it was greed, not stupidity. It was planned.

Sears was "old and dying" when I started 13 yrs ago! The name and fashion was old then! Times change, and Sears stayed the same. It was inevitable, it would take a complete overhaul to turn it around (which doesnt happen much in retail).

Walmart went from a brown to a blue store only because they were considered a "low income" store to begin with and worked with that status to build up. Sears never lowered their standards when they should have. Too many stores, not enough new generation. Its Montgomery Wards all over again.

I am genuinely sad for all the current and past employees. My family has had 4 generations employed here. I'm sorry there will not be more....

Karma would be good for so many people and animals, too. But, it ain't so in time. So many good suffer at the hands of the greedy. Perhaps, after this Time we will see what we call justice.
