Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Where are the snacks?!

Thanks for shutting us down on the snacks, Follett. We just lost about 20 of our customers who never visit anymore because all we have to offer are soon-to-be-expired trail mixes and gummy bears that literally NOBODY buys. Where are the chips and candy bars that people actually come in for?

We are a college campus, not a Yoga Class! We sell unhealthy and salty foods to cheap and broke college students who are looking for a quick snack between classes. None of this glutton free and organic trash. Of the last few snack shipments that we received, we got no shortage of Kind bars and Snappers, along with a whole new variety of trail mixes and Skinny Pop popcorn, but we haven't gotten a single refill on chips for what seems like an eternity.

And now, we can't even expect for the organic vomit that we typically get in to be replenished until after July?! There goes the remainder of sales that we can anticipate for the remainder of the most dead season of the year. What happened to the days where we could select the items that we wanted to sell, and would get tons of sales on chips alone. And then on the conference call, they would have the gall to question what is happening to our convenience sales??? What breed of Chimpanzees do they have running the business department?

Come on now, you know very well that a call to home office will result in more trail mix and notbthe items the store wants.

Maybe call someone at home office and ask?

Seems reasonable.

The type of chimpanzees they have running the company are the same ones who introduced the world to the AIDS virus... and just like the virus there is no cure for it and eventually it will die from it.

Sorry you have no snacks but I must confess its all my fault. I got really hungry and ate all the chips and left that nasty trail mix alone.

Not hiding on the board as you suggest. Ask and we still don't receive .

Silence is what the company buys when it fires, abuses and lies to employees. Follett doesn't feel like a safe place to work. "Stand up!" "Ask for it" well that's counter intuitive around here.

Everyone was turned off from Replenishment for the Summer. If you need something all you have to do is ask. You can turn on just chips (Frito) like we did and didn't drop any sales, and our candy will be turned back on next week, earlier than the company announced for Fall rush. Open your mouth. Ask. Don't hide here and complain. Be a part of the solution and not perpetuate the problem.

It's bad in the stores. It's bad at Chester Tower. It's bad [period] for Follett. Gotta go bro. Just need a new gig that's better. I used to think that was impossible. Sadly I now feel just about anyplace will be better than this abysmal mess of a once-awesome organization.

Well we can't get snacks, BUT not all is lost we did get GM supplies!! I'm thinking this is the stock we never received for Spring 2016 rush. That's o.k. Follett has experts making these awesome decisions. It's 95 degrees here maybe we can also get some more hoodies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't forget to request book returns also..and reduce payroll hours and send managers to other stores to fill in leaving lowly team members to man the store, WE GOT THIS TEAM MATE

We haven't received chips or candy snacks since April. Agreed many of the non-selling trail mix types are expiring in June and July.. write off as expired and we will be sure to be sent more, but can't receive what we actually sell. Our store does sell the healthier choices, but can't sell what we don't receive. Our store services summer class students and school staff sorry to tell them we have no food choices especially since the food court is closed

Blame the new convenience buyer. And the new VP. And CW. They make all of the food decisions for the stores.
