Do remember after signing your waiver documents, the law requires a 10 day revocation period in case you change your mind. So, Chevron will not proceeds your waiver until this period is over. After those 10 days, your request for severance pay will be processed. Allow about 4 days for that. Once approved, it will enter the pay process. The pay process works on the same schedule as payroll, the 7th and 22nd. Depending whether they processed your payment on time, you will get paid on one of these two dates. If it was missed by a day or two, you'll get paid on the next payroll date. Chevron tends to pay severances by check, so allow another 3 days for delivery to your mailbox. Good luck.

So for those of us that e-signed our waivers on June 16 can we expect our checks in the mail around June 10. Are you all expecting it a different date. I did receive my final check stub in the mail a few days after the deposit of my last check and vacation pay.... Thanks may every one find the next chapter of their lives a great one.....Once again thanks Chevron for 37 great years.

For those who get a direct deposit to their bank account, Chevron follows up with mailing out a printed pay statement with details. So, just wait a while. In about a week or 10 days, you'll get the statement. It won't be the severance pay. All severance payments are mailed to you by US Mail in check form only. Must be a Chevron requirement, as they get the cancelled checks with your endorsement signature.

I received a direct deposit yesterday too. One of you said that it might be your vacation balance. Is that true ? is that separate from you severance ?

1cua: yes, I emailed to HR. Double checked today (I cc'd myself) and all done correct on my part. I may have to call her but didn't have foresight to save her phone number.

@1qin, I'm wondering what the reason may be for you not getting your e-sign email. Did you provide Chevron a valid alternate email before being sent home? Is it possible you or they misspelled the email address (bad penmanship)?

They can't get rid of people fast enough. Electronic signature gets you out of the system quicker. How considerate of HR.

My last day on the payroll was June 13th. Still no email so I'm not sure it will be any faster than snail mail. I did get a nice deposit in my checking account today. Thinking it must be my vacation pay. Sweet!

E-signing the waiver instead of signing a paper to get the severance? That's novel. Finally Chevron is moving into the 21st century to layoff its employees.
