I have seen a lot of people tell me they are starting a new position in a different group starting June 20th. What is magical about June 20th?

I completed an internal transfer just before act. Transfer start dates must be on the 1ST or 3RD Monday of each month.

fmk's post makes sense, went through a similar labor reduction in another semicon company and the date for internal transfer shares the same reason.
If somebody accepted the VSP early June, the last day would be June 24th. But if he found an internal job, he should start before June 24th?

Lot of groups have hiring freezes for internal transfer. May be hr gave a timeline for internal transfers after vsp thing is done.
Btw.. This is just a guess. I have no info on it
