Sounds like Karma has caught up with him. From big box sears and di-k’s (I hear he lived up to the name there) to leading a 100 person company!

I currently work for FeraDyne, another company that has been plagued by Done Germanos leadership. Worst leader I’ve ever worked for and it’s not even close. Doesn’t know the industry or the product, looks down on the customer base as well as the employees. Micromanages down to lowest levels. It’s awful.

I have to laugh, while Germano was at Sears he was notorious for terminating staff after a poor visit, no examination of causes, no questioning of HIS failures or opportunities. Germano is one of those guys who somehow get the reputation for being successful without ever having any success. He is the prototypical smoke and mirrors executive. He also is notorious for replacing knowledgeable and talented people with former Navy buddies and low level subordinates from his days at UPS. Stay away from any Company where this guy has any influence.

Don Germano isn't perfect but he also isn't the worst. Despite all your negative posts, he is trying to keep his job which means he's trying to make things better. You have to remember there are MANY people above his role that say no-A LOT!

Look at the positives and you may enjoy your job a little more. Be happy you are still being paid consistently without issues.

What does Sears have to do with Follett s downfall?

They were smart enough to rid the problem.
