Padovani is definitely one, although he is no longer full time. I know of at least three others that might still at Qualcomm, but one is part time if not retired. As the company has become more of a product focused company the I believe the type of people that make truly new things happen become misfits unless something is actively done. These people often have different personalities, they often think differently, they are often incentivized by different things and they are often more difficult to manage. Their creativity, insight, flexibility and productivity is all worth it when doing something truly new. However, it is often not for either side when a company is product focused.
