"We don’t buy the narrative that BHI will be a disaster if the merger with HAL doesn’t consummate," J. David Anderson, an analyst at Barclays Plc, wrote April 28 in a note to investors. Rather, a stand-alone Baker Hughes with $3.5 billion in cash from the breakup fee can help rebuild its BJ Services business, cut considerable costs and boast a strong technology portfolio that could draw new suitors, he wrote.

Stand alone buisness !! Lol the morons at the top have had there eye of the ball for how long now? Company will be broken up sold off closed etc ... crackerhead and his mates will still walk with more $$$ than average joe could make in a lifetime..... Companys chiefs iare more concerned about short term share price than anything else

No new stinking suitors. Good grief! Why the obsession to be bought? Stand alone like a proper business. Get rid of the upper and middle management and rebuild.
