Thread regarding Williams Cos. layoffs

Dear Stephanie Timmermeyer

On March 6, 2015, you took over all of EHS. You met with Employee Safety CoE, and announced how excited you were about your new role. Later you informed us that the OKC office for Access was identical to the Safety COE (in Tulsa and Houston) for Williams. It was highlighted in our meeting that Access did not have an industrial hygiene department, and you stated that Access wasn't big enough for an IH group... so please explain why you got rid of the IH group for Williams. Is Williams with nearly 7K (or 6K now) not big enough? Or do you not care about the health of Williams employees? Or is it that you don't know what the "H" stands for in your title?

Poor Steph. She took the helm from someone far far less competent than her. That department had so much potential under her. But she blew it with politics and cronyism. Ok, and a little incompetence - I mean who knew you needed IH and good field support and that environmental people don't know everything? This sh-- is hard.

That department will steady the ship just in time to be rocked by the next round of layoffs. If there's one department where employment should be based on merit and not whether or not the VP liked you, it should be EHS. Yet, it appears that was the most sketchy/political group there was.

The cuts were made to EHS without regard to how that function would be covered in the new structure. They're still scrambling.

She is a politician, not a scientist.

There is no IH in environmental. There's no TEAM in Access. And no $$ in Williams.
