Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

The lies, oh the lies

If anyone has been listening to the investor call discussing the M&A with BHI should have heard the lies. There was no whole PSL offered for sale Mr Lesar, it was piecemeal. It wasn't a good deal it was terrible. If you had such confidence you would have fought and not rolled over. Time to leave along with Miller and the board and get proper, non-ego management to run the company. You don't have a world class leadership team, this is a dictatorship company that need new leadership along its length and breadth.

In 5 years i have yet to see anything honest. It is plain to see that they were supposed to lost the money. I bet some of it ends up in Dave's bank account.

Remember also that it is not the DOJ's fault that Hal is paying the 3.5 billion fee. Despite facing a steep anti-trust hurdle, Halliburton’s executives agreed to a $3.5 billion break fee with no exemption from paying the fee if the deal was blocked by regulators. The loss is a direct result of Dave and Jeff's incompetence.

"relentless positivity often feels more like a company culture to quiet dissenting voices"

Couldn't agree more. Only been with this company 2 years and feels like any time you speak your mind you're perceived as being negative or rocking the boat

Ok, guys and gals, go out and screw up as much as you want. No one is ever to be held accountable in this company.

Agree with your comments on the dictatorship management. What was recently termed as relentless positivity often feels more like a company culture to quiet dissenting voices. In this instance a few dissenting voices might have saved the company 3.5bn. Investors and upper management need to look at themselves and their compliance with this huge mistake.
