When are they going to shutter what's left of the OKC office? Hard to see it surviving even if the merger doesn't go through.

No official word will come out until the merger either happens or officially is called off. Their messaging/reason for closing the office will be tailored to the merger outcome.
Any new news on the OKC office closure?
Are you working in OKC.? You seem to know a lot about it. I know Cheaspeake is in bad shape. They need to restructure their gathering fee contracts with Williams to something that is more in line with the market, less than 50 cents per million. If they don't the competition will eat them alive. What was the golden client is know becoming the anchor which may drag Williams down with it. No more free donuts.
They've already begun consolidating into one building. There will probably be a few people left in OKC no matter what to the face for Chesapeake.
Do not lose your job if you still have one at Williams, do whatever it takes to keep it. The job market stinks right now. There are some jobs in chemical plants, power generation, computers and chemical engineering.
had a casual conversation with Purgie the other day. he seems to think that once he is gone the OKC office will be shuttered. it's only still there because he is around. Purgie gets what Purgie wants.
Merged or un-merged, that office in its present form is in real trouble. There may be a crew left behind to run ops, but any exec planning to stay should be thinking otherwise. Un-merged, get the Tulsa or Houston real estate ads. Merged? Big D (if kept)
What you said makes too much sense that is why it will not happen. I cannot believe the amount of time money and effort that has been put into the GC 15 design. The group is acting like that this is the first time a compressor staTion built. they are chasing an old market that doesn't even hardly exist anymore. All the compressor stations have all ready been built and new generation will focus on large volumes of gas from Utica with limited plot plans, hardly a good fit for GC 15. They are about 10 years behind the market
All the work and heavy lifting is all ready been done, unfortunately little credit was given out to the ones that did it.
