It is enterprise IT at Follett and you all regardless of division report to the same SOB. Your time is going to come. It is a transition and progressive process to outsource. I used to think my job would not be outsourced, but here I sit barely making ends meet.

We have seen the cost reductions and improved quality and timeliness of our projects. It was the best decision ever made.

With the failures related to outsourcing and the amount of money spent with no or little value to show for it going down that path would not be a smart decision.

AFAIK, B&T is under FSS. Infosys is mostly (only?) a FHEG thing. I don't see the IT functions moving to Infosys. Not saying there won't be layoffs, but I don't see Infosys in the picture.

There will be significant RIF's at McHenry as they consolidate administrative functions such as HR, accounting, IT etc between FSS and B&T to lower overhead. They need to compensate for the interest expense from the acquisition.

B&T information technology will also take a beating as IT functions are outsourced to Infosys and TCS. Expect this to occur quickly.

RIFs have started? Where's the impact taking place right now?
