Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

What we are worth bonus

So the merger has failed costing many billions just like that what about giving the offshore workers a well deserved bonus or pay rise as many people have had nothing for many years even doing all I learns and all the rest so time for chiefs to reward the boys oh I am not speaking about managers either as they get to much as it is for little out put

Maybe if the new and improved version of Halliburton was more like the old flying H Halliburton.

Maybe common sense and prideful management would have avoided this train wreck Dick and Dave have caused.

The post below is dead on..Say what you will. But Halliburton was a company to be proud to be a part of. If you where a cementer are driver and at the top. A toolman.. you where the best of the best.

And yes under the flying H. Halliburton was the very best in cementing . I'M glad you googled the flying H.

Funny how Halliburton was the WORLD leader in pumping services long before Uncle Dave, or even Brother Dick showed up.

Would it be fair to assume that this was because of the QUALITY of management, AND the quality, pride, and dedication that the field hand had for the success of the company prior to the worthless little pricks who make up the employee roster today?

Perhaps this is why Uncle Dave, Brother Dick, and their ilk have worked so hard to hide the past history of Halliburton.

"Bite me Silly Trolls......You have no clue what the flying H was." Sorry no bite here, I expect you'd taste way too bitter anyway. BTW, I know exactly what HAL was, at least as far back as 1979. But that is old history, HAL as it existed back then would not be successful today - business has changed everywhere, not just the oilfield.

Do I like the current HAL? Doesn't matter, it is what it is and wishing for something different is like shi**ing in your hand and expecting chocolate. To those who haven't liked working here for years - why did you stay and keep collecting a paycheck? Should have quit long ago and gotten one of those cushy government jobs. Instead you wasted years of your life, how sad. :-(

Never mind asking for a pay rise or offshore bonus these managers in aberdeen don't even know who works for them full stop this company needs to improve and finally have an understanding with offshore boys

"And my reward..... The PDC could not get me out the gate soon enough."

That's bullshit. If you worked here 40 years you got a Rolex. I have feeling you got paid for every hour you worked over that 40 years. Seems to me HAL gave you everything you were owed and then some.

Gotta LOL at this one. When things were booming in 2014 no one was complaining - plenty of work, pay raises and bonuses all around. Halliburton was a hero then, a great place to work for (as demonstrated by numerous 3rd-party surveys). But now that things are tough, these same lame a$$es are whining about how it just isn't the same anymore and it's Halliburton's fault. Waaaaah! Waaaaah!

They should try running their own business for awhile, and see how their song changes. Been there, done that, got the Chapter 11.

Thank goodness Halliburton isn't the same company it was twenty years ago. If it was, it would be fourth place in the market at best. Oh, you have forgotten that the marketplace has changed haven't you?

You should ask your manager for a raise. Mine thinks that it is a bonous to be one of the few left here to work for Halliburton.

The people who generate the revenue are the backbone of any company. I worked 40 years bringing in many millions of dollars and no cost correction for trouble jobs. Layed off.

And my reward..... The PDC could not get me out the gate soon enough. So he could beat the traffic. Halliburton will never be the company it once was. When it proudly flew the flying H. And the employees where proud to be part of it.

Top heavy with people who in a since look down on the people who pay their salaries. The people on the well site .
