Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Any news on appeal?

Are investigators getting assigned to your case and do they ask more questions or do they simply come back with yes/no(mostly) answer?

My dipsh*t manager told me that Successful/SL4 was for new employees...which I was until I was walked out less than 18 months after being recruited away from a great job (and accomplishing everything I was assigned and more)...

There was no disclosure by management, at least to me, about the significance of SSL prior to getting the boot.

Was any one told either orally or in writing that ssl4 is an indication of performance issues? I wasn't.

HR called me 2 weeks after my appeal and said the grounds for my dismissal were correct. That's it, no surprises there!!!

The Indian manager who laid off the 'only' non-indian in his team would not admit discrimination. And that's the extent of the imbecile HR investigation.

already heard back last week on my appeal. They only determine whether you were eligible for ISP, but will not research beyond that. E.g. Did you get an SL4? Yes? Then appeal declined. If you want to appeal for why you got SL4 in the first place, that's a different process, ODI or open door investigation.

Still waiting for HR response. I had filed the appeal and to make sure they do recieve it, i asked to confirm the reciept, and they did.

Although the appeal seems good at first, but I have to ask myself a question. Why would I want to go back to that hell hole with the same manager that tried to screw you in the first place? I meant this is not the first time Intel do this. The manager knew that.

I only heard of one successful appeal. The employee had written proof from the manager from focal that his ssl4 was not an indication of performance. You ban bet that managers have now been instructed to not do such things.

No questions asked after the original form has been filled in. You should have an HR legal contact to work with. My understanding is that we'll learn of decisions this week.
