According to news reports, L-3 will close the Electron Devices Division facility in San Carlos CA (not too far from San Francisco) and move the positions to Los Angeles and "North Central Pennsylvania." People from the Bay Area would rather join ISIS than move to SoCal and I doubt they'll want to move to the middle of nowhere in Nowheresville. Do you like to hunt deer? If so then dust off your resume and look for openings.

I worked at the Torrance site since it was Hughes Aircraft. Similar to Litton it was a great place to work. Then a succession of owners and top managers that had no knowledge (or interest) in the product or our customers came through, and the slow slide happened. The last L-3 manager that ran our place also ran San Carlos. Zero clue, huge ego. We lost hundreds of jobs, alienated our customers and couldn't book any new work. Same guy ruined both places. I feel sorry for those that move, the Torrance site isn't going to last much longer either. Sad end to two great companies.
I worked there for 46 years and it was a great place to work when it was Litton Electronics.
After it became Northrup Grumman and then L-3 Communication it was a slow down hill slide ever since,do to poor management.
I feel so badly for the over 300 people loosing their jobse, except not the upper management that caused this to happen. I predicted Two months ago this would happen after seeing how upper management was running things.
