Have you any information on what stores will be in this group,or are they going to be on the corporate level?
On the store level, I don't know how we could run the store with less people,but I would not doubt that corporate will think we can,no associates on the floor but still do everything to met those metrics, even if you are making little or no paycheck at the end of the week.
I work in the automotive section at my Sears. We have 4 techs to cover being open 7 days a week. Many times we only have 2 for the whole day. One comes in at 8 AM and leaves at 5 while the other comes in at 10 AM and leaves at 7. We are not supposed to turn away any customers even if they show up one minute before 7 PM. Last week we received a call from the district manager telling us we have to increase business 30%. Corporate has no clue how to run a business!
