Chevron pension and complaints

I don't understand all the complaints about Chevron here. Doesn't Chevron have pension for everyone? So why bother with COBRA and other expenses when you have free health care until you die and a handsome paycheck every month WITHOUT working.

Do you have to work 40-50 years to be entitled for pension? I don't think so. So what are all these complaints for? You guys are lucky to have pension, there are only a handful of companies left with pension benefit not to mention most are underfunded.

Be happy and enjoy the pension check every month. Stop complaining

I understand there is no free healthcare but how many years do you need to work for Chevron to be qualified for pension? 5-10-15? The pension check must be high to cover all expenses. So why the complaint here? You get a free check anyway?

What is the rule to receive pension in Chevron?

Since you are very likely a idiot, you will not understand this response, but I will give it anyway.

The reason for COBRA coverage is because no matter how many years you have with the company, you do not get free healthcare. In fact, your healthcare costs go up 300 to 400% when you retire because you are no longer eligible for employee rates. Even though the company still pay the same amount, you pay more. The 6 months of subsidized COBRA gives you the opportunity to pay the employee rate, so it is a big benefit.
