Was there any discussion of layoffs of senior employees. Those that were making higher salaries? What about those that had EET degrees?

When is management going to turnover in Operations? Some of those people have been in the same job since the start of the Cold War. When is L-3 CSW going to crack down on nepotism and cronyism?

"Can L-3 (or any other large defense contractor) effectively compete for new grads who seem to have a different idea of what the ideal job would be?" We try to be as competitive as possible, but if a new grad finds a an opportunity that closely matches their idea of ideal job I suspect there is a good chance they will take the other job. That said, we are successful in recruiting very talented grads.

"How much did we pay for SuccessFactors? Are we still paying any kind of maintenance/support fee?" Sorry, I don't know how much we pay. Yes, there is an ongoing subscription (maintenance/support) fee we pay. It's expensive I'm sure, but a necessary business tool.

"When is the next major one" Direction from executive management is to avoid larger group layoffs to avoid bad press. All foreseeable layoffs will happen in smaller groups.

How are people selected for layoffs? If this varies from round to round or group to group, please pick one and describe it.
