Thread regarding Follett layoffs

How Do You Form A Union?

You may not realize it, but you've already taken the first step. If you think you and your co-workers would benefit from having someone stand up for you at your workplace, contact RWDSU organizers. We'll be happy to get you more information about the union and what you can do to bring the benefits of having a union to your workplace. All contacts are kept strictly confidential.

I will find my own jobs and manage my own career. I dont need a pack of corrupt leaches taking money from my paycheck every payday to tell me where to work, when to work and negotiate on my behalf. This why most unions are dead. Keep your union and keep your hands out of my pockets.

It may be too late for a union. Nevermind the previous posters comment. Ignorant, uninformed, and probably paid by Follett to undermine the value of this board. I think it's too late because the people who had the backbone and grit to stand up for others have mostly been fired. What you have left are new folks, or employees who have always bowed to the higher ranks, not exactly lemmings, just fearful ants hoping not to be stepped on.
