Murthy knows the great thing about cuts like this is you can't see the opportunity cost. There is no parallel universe to compare the two Intel's. What Murthy can do is reduce operating expenses which fall straight to the bottom line. Thus is hishis trademark strategy. And as long as you cut in the right placesplaces: future products, research then nobody notices.
