A campus president with Argosy accidentally let something slip during a campus meeting after layoffs last week. He confirmed that something big was going to happen in the next 30-60 days, but he wouldn't confirm what that would be. His words were "I don't know if we will merge or IF ARGOSY WILL SEPERATE FROM EDMC completely." I don't believe any of the zombies in the room caught it, but I sure as hell did! Mind you, a merger with south had been previously discussed, but a complete separation had never been heard of until that time. I'm sure as hell that he wasnt supposed to mention that to us. Thoughts?

I still work at Argosy and I wish we WOULD separate from EDMC. Maybe that would take off some of the financial pressure. Unfortunately, I was actually AT the meeting with the Chancellor and I didn't hear anything like that. I was glad she finally came to visit - she has been here over 2 years and this was her first visit to our campus. I likes her enthusiasm and she made us feel optimistic, but I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any real information given about a plan.

well tell you what, the AU Chancellor said something along the same lines during her visit the day before the layoffs at a Nor Cal campus. She mentioned it during a meeting with staff.
