OK so layoffs are around the corner. Does anyone know when people will be notified?

Notices will go out August 18. I am a top performer but will be impacted. Time to look for a another job.
Not just "surprise". Sec doesn't like lack of transparency. If it is big enuf we'll know by or at the call.
I've been told by someone that is giving a notice in Engineering it will be Aug 17-18.
It is possible they will do Sales Notifications next week because of GSX.
However, they don't like to surprise Wall Street. So I think it is unlikely they will do any notifications before they tell the Analysts in the Earnings call.

Year end is midnight July 30

FY16 earnings call is AUGUST 17th.
Annual Kool-ade conference(GSX) is August 21st.
Actual end of the year was July 26th
I would say August 1 is a good bet. Clean the decks 2 weeks before announcing earnings. Give execs a nice boost by juicing the buy-backs.
