If you are in the US (not PR) you need to be looking for a job or wait to collect your severance if it fits your personal situation. Manufacturing won't be here, if you think they can't offload or outsource, your wrong. Puerto Rico has large buildings to accommodate the work and personnel. Asia will be taking on more. Prague and HTS in India , and don't forget the huge huge building ready to go in Mexico. The closure of several plants already that are being outsourced to contract manufacturing . The big ones are next!!!!
The relocation forms, the reorgs, combining of organizations, the Sr. Management and leader movements, the leadership bullies, the furloughs and tough micro-managing tactics to make it super uncomfortable. Announcement of combining the two major distribution centers in Phoenix, acquisition of intelligrated, Cote stepping down, organic growth "slowing" (smoke and mirrors), it's designed from a STRAP from years ago to clean house, simplify, offload/sell expensive products to maintain support, morph into apps and software all the while enable to lobby for all the different visas! "Oh man, we changed our company and can't find qualified workers that will relocate in the US. Dear Feds and WTO, we need a bigger alottmrntn of visa, waaaaahhhhh!" Trust me, a walker is cheaper than a squatter!!!!
