Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Why is it that Follett associates are still surprised when they...

I don't understand why anyone at Follett is surprised by or shock to hear about layoffs. This is an annual ( heck they even do it 3 or 4 times a year) tradition for them. I bet some of the top brass gets huge kick and turn on when they decide whose career to destroy and kick to the curb.

No surprise here. Just when and how many. I am surprised at how many talented employees were laid off and how the brown nosers still survive.

I agree but they should start at the top and work their way down with laying off.

Tons of money would be saved.

I could think of a few VPs that do nothing all day could save alot if they were gone.

Unfortunately, it is the wrong people who be losing their jobs. The sad part is these job loses are because of poor decisions. That's just business...whatever! Again...someone needs to realize that it's not the execution it's the direction.

i do not think anyone in management enjoys letting people go. it is strictly business. the company is not doing well financially, so they have to get back to positive income. if they do not the whole business will fail. ya it is sad people are going to lose their jobs but that is business...
