I got fired from dominoes in 2001. Does that count?
In Cisco, you can get fired if your Dir/manager dont like your honesty. This was with a White Dir and Indian manager.So it is not about Race, it is about Ego and fiefdom.
Eventually both got kicked out because they were so busy believing their ego, that the task was never completed.
Getting fired is much easier than being laid off. You would think the contrary, but when you are fired, it is generally for a reason.
Layoffs are largely the work of poor management, not poor employee execution.
