Avoid Intel.. may look like a better place but not
BK tenure will be short because of the following
1) End of Moore's Law is here and there is no real plan from anyone in management
2) Product is one trick pony with continued 5-8% decline YoY and will continue
3) ARM is it, don't believe the most recent ARM license as Intel is behind TSMC and Samsung
4) Foundry is failure .. they are trying to reboot but intel process is NOT friendly for usage by others. Look at their effort for the last 3 generations and NO significant customers. If the process was better and easy they'd have customers. BTW why would any customer want to come when x86 sells for 150 - 100000 per die while foundry wants to pay between 1 - 20 bucks a die.. Why would intel make it for you when they can use that valuable leading edge process for something else. Of course if they fab is empty 2) then of course, but their cost structure is busted to compete against true foundry ... thus more layoffs...
If you are on the design / product side maybe consider it as Intel will be split up soon. A x86 side and the overworked and underpaid manufacturing side that will continue to see big layoffs!
