Stay. Stay as long as you can and as long as the emotional and insurmountable stress is not sending you over the edge. Honeywell wants us to leave voluntarily, attrition is its best friend right now. Well, stay, make them pay. These games they are playing to rid themselves of the old timers with pension plans and will enable them to modify their ERISA Severance Pay Plan where they can dictate more strictly who gets the severance. I think the rumor mentioned here a while back that serverance is going away and the delay with this RIF due to "retirement plans" costing too much is actually the ERISA severance pay plan issue. Honeywell will be in violation of ERISA Unless the old grandfathered workers at our first. But then they open themselves to a class action law suit for age discrimination unless they can hide the elder laid off employees and roll them with equal numbers of younger, shorter length of of career with Honeywell. Stay, volunteer, whatever floats your boat . If your situation permits you to ride it out, start and make them pay!!!!
