Headcount is like rig count but is a trailing indicator of right sizing the business. If SLB can support X billion of revenue with Y number of people, BHI and HAL must match that ratio. Like the rig count, it has predictive value. How many more people must BHI downsize to reach equilibrium? Think about it!

Just search Peoplelink. Filter active full time and contractors worldwide. Export to excel. Find bottom row to get the count. Idk why the head count matters to anyone anyway. You think there is some magic number that if it gets hit you can stop worrying?

The OWBPA HR page number you cite includes contractors. True BHI employee number is down to around 35300. Interesting that the true employee number keeps falling dramatically, but the contractor number isn't falling. And the contractor number is 2-3 times higher than it was 18 - 30 months ago.
