Our store has to cut 60+ hours/week for next 3 weeks. Bcause, they do it every year bcause it saves the company SO MUCH MONEY! Yeah wonder how much they are saving when customers walk out bcause checkout line too long and no assocites out on floor to watch customers/shoplifters. If this is so a good idea why not keep this level of staffing yearround?

No more excuses for corporate office....get their assto the stores and help out instead of complaining about what didn't get done. They can load the truck, ring on the register, do the ink pog.. and clearance area, that's funny. And complete the pull list daily. Climb the ladders and get the bts and fill them up.

Vinnie has no idea how to be a leader, simple as that. He has no real management talent.

Instead of being a positive inspiration to his staff and leading them to increased operational effectiveness and sales, Vinnie prefers to circle the wagons and simply drive out anyone that shows themselves to be better qualified than him and thus a threat to his position.

Staples is going down hill, retail is in more or less of a controlled crash. Vinnie was demoted into the RVP role, and he pretty much knows there is no upward mobility for him. It makes little sense for him to even try to do a better job, if he were even capable.

So correct about "How they look", And that then translates to store level making everyone in survival mode worring about how they look. So when I am on top of my game and understand which foolish matrix or task they are focusing on this week, I can look golden without any reall results beside being a step ahead of them and the narrow, freightened take no responsibility leadership they provide.

P.S. When I am really on my game, I like both my GM And DM and I will do my all to make them look good still. They make no bones about the silliness of corporates time wasting, resource wasting task and I understand their position that they have to satisfiy certain things.

  1. Stephanie Moreland is a vapid idiot

  2. Vinnie is a hatchet man who loves to set up his subordinates for failure. It is the only way he knows how to do his job. Whatever you focus on will be the wrong thing.

"Why isn't that customer being taken care of?'. "Why is only one register open?", "Why is the backroom not organized?" "Why isn't the store recovered?" "You need to improve your CSAT?" "Your DPT is going down, any idea why?" "Why can't you get the load up in 6 hours?" "

All Quotes from you guessed it Vinnie Servello.

"Vinnie is riding the district tomorrow, stores must be on HIGH ALERT! Spend labor do what must be done, This is not a drill, please get stores in shape immediately!"

Quote from DM initials SM

The above is just an example of the hypocrisy this company represents. Everyone in upper management cares about one thing: HOW THEY LOOK. Screw the customer as evidenced by the July cry of "Cut the hours! I don't care you can not over spend."

"They should help out at store level"

My old company used to do this on Black Friday. They were all completely useless, as I am sure people from Framingham would be.

They should help out at store level, each one should spend a week at a store. That would possibly help with the payroll cut and be funny at the same time.

Makes perfect sense, we pay for the big party at corporate office last week.they should send those pie eating bastards to the stores to help the little people. Oh wait there is another party to celebrate how bad they abused us and made money.

Cut hours even though my store saved payroll in May & June, we have to pay for other stores overages.

All this while dealing with heavy BTS shipments, PoGs, training etc.

It's the usual end of the quarter BS. Happens every July.

They do this for two obvious reasons:

Make 2nd Qtr numbers look better

Totally screw over stores so they can not properly train seasonal BTS associates.

Disorganization by Design.
