Most of them don't do $hit except cost tons of $$$. Everytime I go into a Verizon store I see a bunch of snot nosed kids standing around doing nothing. What is the deal with these money pit stores? Close them already...

I switched to ATT last week (bought 2 s7's, got 2 free and cut my bill by $100 month and got more data). I went in 3 times, once to look at phones, once to have my family look at phones, once to do the actual switch.
Each time the ATT store was packed.
I was wondering the same. During the strike we saw one or two customers every few hours. When I went to AT&T to switch the place was packed, the guy hurried me through the sign up (yea, I bought 2 new iPhones (bogo)? Doesn't pass the smell test.
The union has helped in the destruction of Verizon the very company that gives you a paycheck each week to support your family. When Verizon dies where will you little sheep go than? Will CWA give you a paycheck? Nope they will move on to another company.
@1gyg - Too late dude. Verizon already bit off its customers hands out of pure hate and greed.

It doesn't matter what it costs to operate these stores. They'll just charge the bills to Northeast Verizon Wireline and then say they're unprofitable.

20% store reduction is coming. It was postponed due to the strike.

Most of these stores will be closed very soon thats what im hearing thru the grape vine
@ijp the bumfuck state is California. San Francisco to be specific. The people out here use something called the internet to buy stuff. Amazing!
They also use it to change rate plans, start service, stop service, order stuff and oh...activate service.
Tell me again why I would pay $40 for a case in a Verizon store when I can get it for $5 on eBay?

I used to go into the stores...waaaay back in 2008 & 2009. Now I simply call 611(way faster & more friendly) for any and all needs. Phone reps have upgraded me earlier than in store counterparts and helped with credit adjustments more often than when I frequented brick & mortar reps. Accessories only purchased on eBay( insanely cheap) and I couldn't be happier. Just 2 weeks changed plans on Verizon app. I thought plan was to close retail locations? Sure seems like a good plan to me....oh wait....it makes sense to close useless retail stores... then VZ surely WON'T do it!!!!!!!!
@qxw - Well, whatever bumfuck state you live in apparently still uses lots of land lines. Out here in the developed part of the world our VzW stores are packed.
Great they activated a ton of customers 5 to 10 years ago. What are they doing today? Trying to sell accessories you can buy online for a fraction of the price. Everyone knows how a smartphone works. They don't need some punk kid telling them what to buy.
I haven't seen a busy Verizon store in months. They have served their purpose and are no longer needed.
@sll, you have no concept of how business works, do you? Foot traffic means new business or at least accessory sales. No customers in the store = churn. Anytime I'm at the mall I can't help but look into each of the wireless stores. Yesterday.....Tmobile, you couldn't even get into the store there were so many customers. At&t, 1 customer. Sprint & Verizon, 0 customers. Zero customers = 0 sales. That's the only concept that you need to understand.
You have no concept of how wireless works do you? See, every month we get money from them even if they don't go into the stores. Nice trolling though.
