Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Staffing

Departments are going to be short again this weekend. The front end will be calling for help all day and people will be leaving merch ln the floor and walking out. I think they are simply cutting labor to the bone and they have simply stopped caring about service. To me it appears that there will be no Cabelas by next year. I am looking and I am glad I am not the primary bread winner.

If the retail stores are such a disaster why do they keep announcing new stores? I understand that just because they are announced doesn't mean anything. After all BP cancelled store in Loveland.

Same way we feel in Hammond......Sr. Ops Manager is off or gone more than she's been here.......if she were on the same call off points system as the hourly employees, she would have been gone in Feb.....and she still gets paid to be off.......Our GM is now on her 3rd straight weekend off..........it takes an act of GOD to get vacation or an off day here approved and she has every Sunday and every other Saturday off.......same entitlement as the corporate offices......do as I say and not as I do.....I think the Deli is the new GM office.........

Since when does a department manager need to have a senior manager on his side to interview ppl for jobs?

How would you feel, when your store manager ( male ) and HR manager ( female ) take 5h lunch breaks together?

We should take a cart and gather up all the discarded product that upset customers are dumping before they leave. Unfortunately it would take several carts to handle it if this weekend is anything like the last few have been.
