We have been getting alot of pantry about to shortdate .. 14 to 30 days away from it sometimes already expired. Never saw this before in all my years.

Class act = QUESTION: why are there no hours to give associates when new hires can't be had? and we haven't had a raise in years and years? only the stupid stay now and I'm gonna follow the rest and get out now.

Patio dept in all stores, which is generally the most profitable, was hit with over ordering of garden statues and decoratives this year. Product was to be held back and used for multiple seasons, but instead was sent out to all the stores.

In 2014 and 2015, there was heavy promotonal spending through shop your way surprise points and coupons for this entire dept. Spending on traditional advertising was cut in lieu of this.

What happened? Members bought up a lot of those statues and decoratives those two years. No coupons and surprise points this year and merchandise is now sitting there on clearance ( for more than the weekly sale price or price drop price in season.)

We have the same problem with everything. Last week we received 30 of the same microwaves. Where are we going to put 30 microwaves in a Kmart store? Holidays and seasonal are even worse. We received 150 of the same garden nomes this past summer season, we still have 130. Most will be sold at 75% off and we will lose money. That is how this company works

Your counts may be off then if you keep getting the same merchandise. Otherwise it's holiday or seasonal merchandise or AD merch which will ship regardless. I agree there are no hours to give associates to help keep the freight out of the back and some stores are suffering more than others.
