I like curry but 4fbi is delusional. Not sure why he keeps posting on this board. Likely he has nothing more important to consume his time. A loser for sure. Beat it worm.

Hey, guys, I am very surprised on what you are thinking and talking about!!! Financial tsunami is coming on you and your families, when all your bank accounts, savings, pensions, stocks, wealth etc etc are going to be burned or catastrophically cut, and you are discussing smelly curry eaters. Common! Wake up!! Earlier you wake up and do some necessary steps, easier and safer it would be for you and your family and you may have some miniscule chances to physically survive in the next 3-5 years. Wake up! And make your little contribution for society to survive and minimize deaths.

I'm pretty sure anyone eating curry in their cubicle would have been sacked by this stage in the game.

Not good for you either if you eat at your desk and bring putrid smelling foods from home, like baked solefish or curried chicken. It's stinks up the entire work area. You become noticed in an unfavorable way.

I thought that they had a lot of low-fat healthy options at the cafe'? Salads, grilled chicken, etc. I don't see the false logic in the fat or burrito, etc posts. Now, eating out or even at the cafe' everyday is a stupid decision if you are trying to keep a reasonable budget, which is why I rarely eat there, never have and it has nothing to do with these layoffs, I have weathered many. That's a no-brainer. But if you are overweight it has nothing to do with a company cafeteria. Get real.

I don't eat at the cafeteria because I am not fat.

Well don't forget the lady who started the entire Texaco discrimination lawsuit in 1996, Ms Roberts, was fired after the CEO saw her in the White Plains cafeteria. He said to himself "what in the heck is SHE still doing working here??" Eating at your desk can be safer if you don't want anyone to notice you are still around. It also makes you look busier than some big stupid oaf gorging on pizza and burritos five days a week with his buddies for 90 minutes.

I wonder if there are fewer people in the cafeterias at lunchtime because people are watching their pennies and bringing a sack lunch, just in case...

-2cxr, your bitterness is only a reflection of your inner self. It comes out in your words that what you preach is only a confession of your lack of self esteem. Let go of Chevron, poor soul, as it has let go of you.

Good luck buddy. oh don't take it too hard, There are a lot of these guys out there. YOU JUST GOT Busted and your number is up. A--HOLE.

A post on another thread had 123 being cut from CPL. I was cut in April this year, but noticed a significant reduction in the number of people in the lunch cafeterias on Louisiana and Smith street towers. This occurred from early spring to late summer last year when there were no large layoffs announced for Houston. It seemed that a few dozen were being let go every week. Small enough to not be noticed until a few hundred were gone. There are several thousand people who worked in downtown Houston.

Someone posted earlier that CPL has the results of their ROM this week...maybe that is the reference here.
