My department has sent almost everything to China and Eastern Europe. They got frustrated with the poor quality and high turnover in India. It was easier to compete with the low wages in India since their output was lousy, but China and Eastern Europe is a totally different story. I am certain those of us remaining will get whacked in the next year.
WebEx Technical Services Team being shifted to China and San Jose from India. Disappointing output and constant re-work reached its tipping point. WebEx is a cash cow and nobody wants to threaten that.
Talk of moving it to Krakow, Poland as well.
issue in this board is csco layoffs . if you want to convert it to a olympic shlong measuring contest, go right ahead...but expect to be roundly ignored. you dont set the agenda here, the agenda is already set.

who cares? in terms of playing the real "game" and gradually muscling others out, they are world class everywhere - imagine coming to a completely alien culture, building networks (both physical and personal) a minority and creating this much fear as we see in this board :)
