I have worked here 25 years. All of my friends and coworkers 50 and above are all gone now, they're systematically picked out, hated, and eliminated. Those who previously left and went worked for BHI and HAL are still there. This is a lesson for you youngsters, no slb for old men!!

its bad but what I have realized is that decent, competent people could not fight like dogs, trying hard to hold on to some decency left, so they end up losing at the end. This practice is running rampage throughout the organization.
Profits > people . They work you like dogs. And dogs biting dogs in the cage. Forget respect and mindfulness
I was jobless with 4 years exprience from a major, my entire Reservoir team was gone. In my life, ever never i would apply for a job at SLB, it is by far the worse company i have seen in my life, i would go back to work as a retail sales rep day, at least i was happier then..........i would take unemployment over a a job at that company.......congrats Paal & Al! you turned your shack into the most hated work place in the oil sector....i feel sorry for the old timers......

I worked here for many years too, for the most part I was a workaholic just because I like what I did and a sense of responsibility more than anything. Then they walked me out before anyone else in the group, probably because I was the oldest, 55. In a way I am happy that I no longer have to deal with processes, meetings, stupidity, and nothing ever get done well. It was such a good company once.
Who cares anymore? I am over 50 and wouldn't go back for any amount of money, SLB is hands down the worst company I have ever worked for and statement is spot on.
