I worked for the company for 12 years. I found a better paying job, it was by far the best choice, and there are better paying jobs. I truly regret giving all those years for a company that doesn't not value their empolyees. The RM did not even try to offered more money, it was a simple "thank you," and I was far more knowledgable than other store mangers. RM will only look out for their friends and friends fronds.

In defense of the RM, he/she has no power to do anything to try and get you to stay. I think RM are just as worried about their positions as well.
