So is the CEO going to announce a layoff at the Schenectady campus? I hope so tell you the truth my husband can't stand working their anymore. No pension, he makes less than the old timers they call it the competitive wage tier. This is not a retirement job anymore its just another fly by night job. So I hope they offer a buy out like they did the battery plant because a lot of the post 2011 union guys would jump on it. The job was ok for $20 an hour up to about 6 months ago; but the crack down this past year is making a lot of people wonder if a layoff is coming and many want one! GE is a crappy greedy company to work for! The greedy scumbags from CEO all the way down to the bottom of the food chain bosses. They have no human compassion at all! GE IS A JOKE!!!!

Yes they bought Alstom only to Close almost all of the U.S. Operations and move Millions of $ worth of equipment to NY and Bangor Maine. The Turn around wont come for at least Two years for GE.
To the teed breath that said my husband should quit if he does not like it. My Husband did quit! He went in and walked out the same day. His new position Is by far a way better company. Starting out more than the T-Rate top rated job. Also pointed out to that p--p head he has way better healthcare, and a way stronger retirement. I herd management personal is even jumping ship. That tells anyone with half a brain. HEY GE IS A GREEDY Sh--HOLE COMPANY!
Tell you lazy husband if he doesn't like his job to f---ing quit. There that solves that problem. He doesn't have to be worried about getting laid off.

I agree 100% the place is a dump! Treat the employees like crap, if they fart the wrong way the bosses want to write them up! When it was busy they were more laid back, now they want to write as many people up as they sat to so they can fire them.
