In less than 5 years, Gorgon will require over $10 billion more investment for additional wells and compression just to maintain capacity. Chevron has yet another opportunity to screw things up.
If you really don't believe him, you can check on the port of Barrow Island website - it has the daily marine notices including what tankers are there. Not too hard to track that they change every three or four days. Buy you a--holes just want to b--ch and moan. No company makes a song and dance about every cargo out the door, why should Chevron. Milestone cargoes sure... everything else it's just business.
4qml Sounds like you represent the majority of the lazy a$$ union Aussie labor force that built and operate the plant. You comments represent the masses. Chevron shouldn't have built the plant with a bunch of kangaroo wrangling losers. The top leadership should be punished for that decision and many others. We already know that cancerous union workforces don't give a crap if the companies they work for fail.
You yanks crack me up, just tied up number 14 ....we dont care if chevron never pay it off...if an American company want our gas ...then you pay one way or another ....its a company not my friend or family
On a serious note best of luck with that hurrican its a cat 5 so have your wits about you take care ....
Sorry. I meant 1ike not bnd.
Hey bnd. How about some details of all these ships you're loading? Names and dates? You might be right but it's hard to believe anything goes well on Barrow Island.
Very true, 3mfx. Gorgon and Wheatstone are the bane of Chevron. We've lost our stature in the industry for the next one or two decades.
Coming together? Like the tendons on Bigfoot, or a size 13 steel toe and the a$$ of the fool that approved funding on ALNG, EGTL, Gorgon and Wheatstone? Yeah...hooray for the project that has most notably destroyed the financials of the company. The project will not pay out. It is, was, and always will be a flop. Do the math. Double the cost, delay production for 3 years, and reduce the product price by 75%. That makes for a turd investment in every sense of the word. The only thing that is coming together is $hit and reality.
Well i tie the carriers up and we have done at least 10 we have done 2 this week. one in now...all going pretty good...all coming together
There hasn't been 9 LNG shipments to date. I heard of only two, and a third one in the works.
-eik post is just dripping with sarcasm.
I just checked the internet for any news regarding lng shipments from Gorgon and there is absolutely nothing about 9 shipments already being sent from Gorgon. Provide info to back up your claim. If this was true, then Chevron would be announcing it, and there are no press releases I have found to prove your statement.
Fantastic project. The Chevron Way from start to (almost) finished. I'm glad we kept all the self professed top performers at Chevron, otherwise Gorgon might have been a real screw up. Good job everyone.
There has been shipments, they just haven't made a big song and dance about it. They are up to at least 9 now.
