Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

So what's the buzzword for 2018?

This year cost of supply seems to be the corporate buzzword winner. Management must have said it about 100 times in the last analyst meeting. Previous winners were collaboration and accountability, among others. Any guesses?

I am also interested in what COP brand/moto will replace "Smart growth, Superior returns" since I sure haven' seen that happen since it was coined in 2014.

Granularity, In our Wheelhouse or possibly In our Wheelchair? Living within our means, 10,000 foot view, right size, best in class operator. Metric of the month. At one time the benchmark metric was operating cost per BOE. Of course gas well were cheaper to operate then oil wells so COP sold a lot of oil wells that the independents gobbled up! COP is not a true independent for any number of reasons thus we are a In a class by ourselves!

HRO=Highly Retarded Organization. God, I was hoping to never see that acronym ever again. The whole learnings team concept is a joke. Good thing the Canadians love it, it takes a lot of people to give the perception that things like this actually work.

Can we not just get back to the good old ones from times' past? Cut costs and grow production.

We can post COP like an advert in the personals classified section:

"Former beauty queen now showing her years has fallen on hard times. Seeks muscular suitor to sweep me off my feet and carry me to your castle. I'm into overdone processes, nepotism, poor judgement, and hindsight. First prince who can talk sweet nothings into my good ear gets lucky."
