never go back, you may make less with other company but they appreciate what you do for them rather than getting more but they look at you like dog begging for food

Move on,please do not look back or go back. Not necessary to go backward. Go forward. Lots of great opportunities out there if you are looking for something not even closely related to big blue, which is the most horrible place to work. What they keep and what the lay off should tell you what kind of company they are. My friend worked circles around all those is their department, came early, stayed late, worked weekends, without pay and they laid offmy friend with horrible package. So please let SCH go the way of all grossly unimportant companys. If there are Stockholders outside of the upper management staff, please be warned.

Man, OFS is in the toilet for years to come. You want to work in this field, you must join a startup. There simply is no money other than opportunities started by small engaged companies. Big blue for sure won't be part of that. Management is simply to disengaged and not competent enough.
