2017 Dental Benefit Changes
For 2017, your cost and coverage options for dental benefits will change. You will pay the full cost of coverage without a company contribution, and will have three options to choose from: Cigna Dental HMO (DHMO), MetLife PDP Plus, and MetLife PDP Plus Premier.
As a lower level Morris Plains drone, it s---s here. There are not enough seat for everyone that is assigned to MP. There are no assigned seats so it is every person for themselves to get a seat. There are no places for bookcases, etc. and you are encouraged to not have any papers or books. The whole locker situation is ridiculously stupid.
Cote keeps squeezing the employees, cutting benefits, etc., to get more money together to purchase more companies to screw up. Investors really should insist that integration stop, at least long enough to figure out how badly Honeywell actually mismanages its acquisitions.
I used to have a chalk outline in my cube (made of tape).. it was hilarious. There was a clean spot when they ripped up the tape and they had to replace the carpet before the new schmuck moved in.

As for Morris Plains work areas. The calculation they use takes into account number of people in travel, vacation , sick..... they have just enough chairs for butts and nothing more. Guess they aren't planning for growth. Just ask Redmond folks. They may want to go across the parking lot and put in an application.
It is awesome, but not for work....nice cafeteria, facilities, flat screens everywhere and a huge garage for his cars...can't even imagine the executive offices....but for the lowly engineer no space or desk, this is how valuable engineering work is for them.

Regarding Morris Plains, in the new HQ the number of working areas (a desk that looks more like a small table) are enough only for about 70-80% of the total number of people....that means if everybody shows up there will not be enough stations to accommodate all. So they had encouraged people of working from home in order to save space....Also, I heard that there are no assigned desks, bookcases, etc., for the engineers. One sits wherever there is an empty station, plugs in a laptop and that's it, no overnight storage of books, notes, etc., is allowed on a desk (there is a small locker for each one). This is what a genius thought in order to cut costs; the same will happen in all sites sooner or later......

It's not Jack Welch; the company is literally being looted of all of its money just like the Chicago mob.
"Curly" Humpreys took over/muscled in on many companies and looted them until they just dropped like a balloon out of air.
And the corporate HQ is in New Jersey. Go figure.
There was a time when the harder you work for a company, the better the company does, and in return the better they treat you. Now, the harder you work and the better the company does, the more they screw you. It is the sad reality, and this, and future generations are in for a very rough ride. Unions are starting to make sense now, more than ever before.
Our cubes are empty because Honeywell made that happen. NOT because folks are working remotely. This will NOT go over well. I don't work remotely very often, but it is nice when I have something going on at home like waiting for a contractor. When some folks who work remotely actually are in the office, the rest of us don't get anything done due to the fact that we have more interruptions and "catching up" on old times. I really don't understand what the heck is going on with Honeywell. It's like it's being run by the mob or something!

Seems to be a bit petty on honeywells part if you ask me. If you really think I'm overcompensated by $200 you can sit and spin
@JJG2ANK-mup, could be true, but Cote could go to many HON facilities and see empty floors, mostly from his own making/design.
It is truly shocking & embarassing to go to a facility, such as Olathe, and see empty cube farms everywhere. It's almost like you can see the dead body chalk lines on the carpeting. Creepy.
I'm sure customers would be impressed...not.
Also, they are announcing the end of the work from home practice tomorrow too. Cote did not like what he saw at Morris Plains. One floor was empty so now all HON employees must work at the site they are assigned. Time to get the $#@% out.
So why get it through Hon? Procedures will be less due to a group rate?
