This tanking of the stock price may end up swinging to the Union favor in SB. Aero could save a LOT of money in very short order if they stopped paying all the scabs to manufacture parts in SB.
Then again, I am sure the current VP for South Bend has it all under control.....
Keep up the union discussions, and they'll send ALL of the U.S. jobs overseas! Even the jobs that work with ITAR-restricted programs, because Honeywell will find some clause or loophole to allow for it. This company is a sinking ship; everyone would be well-suited to update their resumes, apply for jobs with other companies, and do their best to move on.
The South Bend labor union only has 300-400 members. In order for a union to be strong, it must have thousands of members, across multiple sites with skill sets that are difficult to replace. Comparing the current South Bend Union to a possible Honeywell Professional Union with a diverse skill set and significant knowledge base is not a fair comparison.
