Nightingale College is a single-purpose, private institution of higher learning, currently based in Ogden, Utah, dedicated to advancing the quality of and access to professional nursing education.
Operations are expected to move north of Salt Lake City, UT and south of Layton, UT by January, 2018. A partial remote work schedule (working from home) may be possible.

The Advisor, Financial Aid is responsible for the following:
Accurately develops and coordinates the delivery of student financial aid and the maintenance of student financial aid records;
Coordinates financial aid operations with other College areas, including Admissions; Registrar; Business Office; Learner Advising etc.;
Researches, analyzes, develops and recommends departmental processes and procedures to increase/improve operational efficiency and to ensure proper controls and regulatory compliance;
Assists with the financial aid office response to program reviews and audits;
Accurately conducts needs analyses to determine individual student eligibility for various aid programs and creates financial aid estimates and packaging accordingly;Precisely verifies documents and maintains student generated information used to determine eligibility for financial aid awards;
Correctly advises students regarding academic and career objectives in relation to financial aid; reviews student status to determine continuance or increase/decrease of aid;
Tracking all learners as they progress through the financial aid process.
Create and maintaining all electronic records, such as spreadsheets.
Accurately documents the delivery of student financial aid and the maintenance of student financial aid records;
Counsels learners on all Student Financial Aid and related matters when warranted while providing excellent customer service;
Assists with the completion of missing documents with new, perspective and continuing learners;
Follow-up on all items preventing or delaying the awarding of Student Financial Aid. This may include contact with internal and external resources;
Utilize various methods to communicate and follow up with learners in regards to outstanding items, account balances and alternative methods of payment (i.e. phone, email, letters, etc.);
Maintains a working relationship between financial aid operations and other College areas, including Admissions; Registrar; Business Office; etc.;
Assists with coordination of all financial aid services with any third-party services;
Assists in the resolution of problems and/or complaints and initiates corrective action as appropriate;
Attends meetings and conferences as necessary to maintain knowledge of existing and new financial aid policies, practices, and procedures;
Assists with Student Finance projects and assignments as required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, social services, or a related field is preferred, not required;
Knowledge of Title IV and minimum of 12 months’ successful experience in financial aid environment required;
Knowledge and proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook;
Excellent customer services skills demonstrated verbally and through professional written communication;
Excellent problem solving and decision making ability;
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize, multi-task, perform well under pressure and meet deadlines;
Individual must be well organized with attention to detail to ensure proper and accurate completion of documents and projects;
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sensitivity to learner concerns regarding financial matters;
Excellent communication and problem solving skills are required to clearly inform learners of their financial responsibilities;
Ability to work well independently as well as within a team, on multiple projects, within an environment that can be fast-paced;
Ability to clearly and accurately communicate orally and in writing, complex and/or technical information to lay audiences.
