Come the end of 2018, VZ employee staff number will be below 90, 000. Vz or Vzw, it doesn't matter. VZ (as a whole) has not hidden the fact that is a Global Diverse company (i.e. meaning consulting to other countries/ non-employee US base or outsourcing within and offshore). Lowering the total cost of an employee is every corporations focus. Increasing shareholder value is priority. Easy way to do that is reduce headcount. Corporate America is rolling with Wall Street and we are our 401K. Double edge sword. Union and non Union it doesn't matter.

@1gvw, You're 100% incorrect. As a shareholder you do have a say. When it comes time to vote on the board members and their ideas, vote against them all. If we continue to vote out the board members, eventually they'll catch on and start to listen. Too many of us either don't vote on the board and it's proposals or they simply check all the board recommended proposals and members. Verizon needs 100% new leadership from top to bottom.

They don't care ,they have a one way agenda,that is to have as little as possible amount of employees
The only way to hurt them is to have a negative impact on their numbers. If you're unhappy, cancel your services. If they see 10's of thousands of employees cancelling their services, maybe, just maybe they'll get the message.
The united states citizens should support corporations that better their economy. People have a say, Competition sees that as a marketing tool. Many Americans will support that. Just look at what is happening with the election, many ,many people are upset with our elected officials. Companies that outsource will have to deal with that , also will have to deal with pay structures. Time will tell.
