Glassdoor update: after several negative reviews, HR/Management posts 4 consecutive positive reviews

Early August's reviews were scathing and they read truthfully. August's final reviews are 100% shill reviews. How much time does that great HR team spend lying online?

How does one if they are fake. Well, you work for a company that distributes course materials at colleges and universities. One of the most valuable skills taught to our clients is critical thinking and critical reading. Try reading the reviews. The pattern is unmistakable. There are poor reviews from various backgrounds and experience followed by several vaguely worded feel good reviews. The goal is the get up votes for management and to maintain a 3 star rating.

It's hard to find work when you're over 50 and in good health. To whomever is asshattish enough to suggest that poor health and bad attitude may go hand in hand- get bent! Why waste the time to post such garbage?

That is your decision. Some people might accept the situation and the fact that things aren't under their control. Others don't. If you don't, then do something about it. Sitting around, complaining, or feeling sorry for yourself do absolutely nothing for you. Figure out what will improve your life. Will trying to improve the company make things better for you, or will finding a new job do it? Only you know the right answer.

Even positive thinking is tough here. I'm a pretty optimistic person but can anyone truly thrive with so much unattended garabage? Are we really expecting people to just grin and bear it with no raise, no help or future ? It's taking a toll.

Not in good health and negative outlook on life. I bet the two are related. Change your tune and be positive... it might help.

Better, I waited until I was laid off and took a very nice summer vacation before retirement.

Ok, and yet you work here. There's something wrong with that picture. If you don't like this place so much and only see negativity wherever you go, then you're doing something wrong. Might be time to re-evaluate where you are in life and find another job.
