Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Provider assigns a new IP address each login, on my phone in Starbucks on WiFI, good luck with that.

Just be careful and smart. Don't view or post to this site from work, company phone or any other device on the Follett network. Don't discuss this site at work or with other employees. Follett has demonstrated that if they know who is viewing/posting to this site, they will lay you off in the next round. GuaranDamnTeeIt.

Even if they obtained the IP address, it would take a court order to have your internet service provider provide them with who was using that IP (just look at all the Napster type lawsuits previously, they would not release the user until a court order them to do so). I don't think a court would approve that since this is just a discussion board.

Legally you can't be fired for b--ching about work...you should not be using a work computer though, that they can fire you for. MLS was not fired for complaining...please

Keep trying, first Follett owns the site, then this site is why MLS lost her job, then they paid BIG bucks for ransom? Now Follett has the ability to track like Google, haha. Guess what NOT everything is own by management, and you can't buy something that's not for sale. Your scare tactics are failing, keep your bulling to the office. Hence the site for employees to talk without worrying about management.

I suppose these companies are paying millions of dollars too? "Currently, the most active layoff boards are: AT&T, Caterpillar, Bank of America, Chevron, Cisco, SunPower, Conoco, Honeywell, Intel, IBM, NOV, Schlumberger, Seagate and Metlife"

read this sites 'Privacy Policy Page'... https://www.thelayoff.com/privacy.php and read about 'fingerprinting'... http://www.thewire.com/technology/2013/09/how-google-will-track-you-without-cookies/69523/

you are tracked.

This is such BullSh..t. Folks in HR must be soooo desperate..... Guess what this site isn't the reason people don't want to wok at Follett. And NO one from Follett owns this site and NO they can't track you. Management must think the employees are a bunch of idiots.

Didn't you know that Thelayoff site was created and designed by one of the former Follett Executives? They log all the IPs that belong to follett and give them to follett so they can reprimand disgruntled staff who post here.

Actually Follett runs Layoffs.com. All the other companies on the site are cover so they can rat out the disloyal staff and punish them. They caught MLS posting negative comments about FHEG so she was terminated. That will teach you!
