I saw a really crappy side of a company I've spent half my life working for today. (I'm old enough to retire) We are in the middle of a round of layoffs. My immediate supervisor, and proud, honorable veteran, was told he was no longer valued enough to keep around. Are you F'n kidding me? First of all, this man was one of the best leaders I've probably had there, during my entire career with the company. Veterans have been getting the shaft from Dave Cote's bed-partner and POTUS B Obama and the veterans administration for years. For God's sake Dave, if any group within the walls of Honeywell should be untouchable at all costs when cutting corporate costs, it should be the group of men and women that signed a contract with our country, offering up their lives, to protect us and our way of life, and made good on their end of the deal! Very sad and disappointed with the leadership here at Engines in Phoenix.

Regardless of who is in charge at the top of the country Cote would be screwing the employees so he can make more money and all the politicians will let him as its in their best interests due to the nature of the companies business.
It doesn't matter what the discussion is, it's guaranteed at some point in it someone will say it's the presidents fault.

Agreed, Dave Cote is a huge obummer supporter, in the last three years, cote has cashed in over 600 million in HON stock. When he punches out in the spring, he will take 800K per month, yes, per month with him. This is the same jerk that says pensions are a "instrument of the past". Cote was also a big supporter of obama care, so he could claim cost savings for the company, and squeeze more money for himself. Cote was also on the national debt team, you know, the one that went from $8T under bush, to $18T with obummer. What the heck does POTUS Obama have to do with anybody getting laid off? Nothing. These layoffs and furlough are all about cash savings to prop up the stock price....Obama has nothing to do with it.

Dave doesn't give a shiit about anyone but Dave and wall street investors. He's been an Obama dickk rider for years! Dave is purposely driving aerospace into the ground, possibly to get out of having to pay retirement commitments (think General motors).
