Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Diversity hiring

I can't believe the micromanagement that's taking place to try to reach the diversity hiring goals for 2016. The majority of the best diverse talent has already been hired for 2016. This micro management is just going to make people upset. In my opinion diversity hiring is a lost cause and and Intel needs to focus on retention ( what's the point of spending all this money if they're just gonna leave? ). Because making people upset is not the answer, especially when we need to keep valuable employees.

If Intel was interested on retention of talented people, they should not have fired all their experienced people to save a few dollars. Intel's reputation is so tarnished now, no one wants to work there anymore. And many of those who are still there are working on exit plans.

It will effect bonuses. Yet last year's warnings feel as if they were completely ignored when the goals were set. And now the management microscope gets even more focused.

And with it will come laying off many more white, older males to improve the ratio.

I was hiring agressively, was told specifically to continue to pursue on sites for Hispanic, black and of course pu$$y too. Was explicitly told not to pursue qualified top Asian and Indian males. Dang even white Americans males were also encouraged as their simply aren't many of them PhD in STEM anymore.

So if you are white or URM you were /are fast tracked and better candidates were passed over to get you in so BK can look good

When you get in bed with Jessie Jackson and the NAACP, they will hold it against you if you do not reach the quota number.
